Educational Scholarships and Training Programs

Development of human resources is one of the key pillars of India’s foreign policy and engagement with Africa.  India believes that capacity building and human resource development are of utmost importance for any nation to develop since they enable and empower people to take charge of their own future.
 
Towards this end, Government of India offers various scholarships and training programmes which constitute an integral part of India’s South-South cooperation effort.  

The scholarships and training programmes offered by Government of India are an earnest attempt to share the fruits of its socio-economic development and technological achievement with other developing countries. These programmes have evolved and grown over the years and have generated immense goodwill among the developing countries.  These programmes lead to cooperation and partnership for mutual benefit. They are response-oriented and address the specific needs of the developing countries.
