The High Commission of India in collaboration with Women of India & Cyprus for Commerce and Industry (WICCI) organised an event on Gender Equality in the Workplace titled "Women Who Launch" at Cyprus University of Technology, Limassol. High Commissioner of India, Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat highlighted the importance of women empowerment in all spears of life. Panel discussion was held with the participation of the President of WICCI, Ms. Marina Zevedeou, Dr Maria Kapardis, Ms. Elena Tanou, Dr Maria Terzi, Ms. Mary Pyrgos, Ms. Harbeen Aurora, Dr Dimitra Milioni and Mr. Marios Giorgoudis. The Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi's address at the G20 Ministerial Conference on Women Empowerment was screened at the event (03 October 2023).
