High Commissioner, Smt. Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat hoisted the National Flag on the occasion of 77th Independence Day of India. A video exhibition was installed to commemorate the observance of Partition Horrors Remembrance Day alongwith an exhibiton on Women Freedom Fighters, at the event. High Commission of India celebrated the 9th International Day of Yoga at High Commission of India Complex. High Commissioner, Mrs. Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat opened the event emphasizing the role and importance of IDY and Yoga in modern world. The First Lady of the Republic of Cyprus, Mrs. Philippa Karsera Christodoulides was the Guest of Honour and addressed the gathering highlighting excellent bilateral relations between India and Republic of Cyprus. The event was followed by yoga practice session, based on ‘Common Yoga Protocol’ of Ministry of AYUSH conducted by yoga instructors and a yoga film, titled, “Yoga Harmony with Nature” was screened (19 June 2023)
