Press Release: 16th Batch of Capacity Building Under NCGG-CSC MoU on 08 September, 2022.
On 8 Sept, 2022, a ceremony was organised at Maldives’ Civil Service Commission (CSC) for the 16th batch of Maldivian civil servants who will visit New Delhi and Mussoorie.
A group of 37 Civil Servants are scheduled to attend the customised “Capacity Building Programme in the Field of Administration from 12 to 23 Sept.'22 conducted by the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG).
The group has civil servants from various atolls and ministries with a good level of female participation too. The civil servants will be exposed to e-governance, ethical perspective in good governance, performance & stress mgt at work, interpersonal skills, innovations, public private partnerships, project mgt., gener & development, public grievances redressal mechanism, etc. besides visit to smart city & urban housing, zero energy building, DMRC, Central Information Commission, Taj Mahal, etc
The MoU between CSC and NCGG was signed in June 2019 during the State Visit of PM Narendra Modi to the Maldives. With 16th batch, 504 Maldivian civil servants have undergone training under this MoU.
The partnership between India and Maldives is truely multifaceted. Collaboration in the area of training and capacity building is a key pillar of this partnership. During recent visit of President Solih to India, both PM Modi and President Solih noted with satisfaction that capacity building and training has emerged as a keynpillar of the bilateral relationship in the past few years. A large no. of capacity building opportunities are being offered under various MoUs and GoI's ITEC & other schemes.
