2nd Customized online Training program for Auditor General Office, Maldives Theme: “Information Technology Audit” 22-27 November, 2021
From 22 -27th November 2021, the 2nd customized online training program under ITEC scheme (Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation) on “Information Technology Audit” shall be organized for Auditor General Office, Maldives (AGO) by International Centre for Information System and Audit (iCISA), an international training institute of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG).
2.Training shall be imparted by experts aiming to provide an overview of IT audit process to the participants. It will familiarize them with the concepts and key issues in IT Audit through case studies on various areas including introduction to Data Analytics, Audit of IS Controls, Auditing in SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment etc.
3.The 1st online training program for AGO, Maldives was organized from 02-07 August 2021 on Financial Audit. The program was attended by Senior Auditors, Auditors and Assistant Auditors from AGO Maldives. It enhanced the knowledge in auditor’s responsibilities relating to fraud in an audit of financial statements, interpretation of financial framework, and financial auditing in SAP ERP environment, etc.
4. Recently, on 24th October 2021, an MoU was signed between AGO Maldives and CAG India to strengthen existing relations and bilateral cooperation between both institutions. With MoU both will further collaboration in the areas of mutual interest to enhance the professional capacity of both the institutions and improve their methodologies in the field of public audit.
5.India and Maldives are working together in various fields to enhance the capacity of democratic institutions.
