Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore (09th May 2021)
Indian Cultural Centre celebrated the Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore with various activities.
The first event was an online talk on Tagore and the Idea of Sabhyata (Civilization) by Professor Chandi Prasad Nandam, Ravenshaw University, Cuttak, Odishi, India via ICC Maldives Facebook page at 11:30AM (IST).
The second event was a small musical programme titled ‘In Search of Roots: Folk Songs of Tagore’ by Ms. Debapriya Biswas at 1215pm (IST). The event was livestreamed on ICC Maldives’ Facebook page.
The third event was a dance performance celebrating Ananda (Joy) by Mr. Mehbub Hassan. The event was hosted via ICC Maldives’ Facebook page at 01:30pm (IST).
The fourth event was a musical programme titled ‘Rabindrasangeet: Songs of Tagore Celebrating Life’, hosted by Mr. Shobhon Ahmed via ICC Maldives’ Facebook page at 9PM (IST).
