Africa Scholarship Scheme by ICCR for 2019-2020

AFRICA SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME ADMINISTERED BY ICCR 2019-20

The High Commission of India to Uganda announces the Government of India’ Africa Scholarship Scheme administered by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) allotting 30 slots to Ugandan participants for the academic year 2019-20.

The scholarships are available for Under-graduate, Post-Graduate and Ph.D courses. The Government of India provides,return economy class air fares to the nearest international airport and 3rd class air-conditioned (AC) train fares to the place of study, if so required to selected candidates.

In case of scholars pursuing science courses, the expenditure on laboratory chemicals and other related incidental charges will be borne by the scholars themselves. Candidates applying for Bachelor of Engineering (BE) courses must ensure that they have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) in their school leaving examinations, as this is mandatory for Engineering courses. The above scholarship does not cover any course related to medical/paramedical/fashion.

Detailed guidelines on the process of applying for ICCR Scholarships online on the A2A Portal and procedure and norms governing the same is given on the www.a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in External website that opens in a new window. Students must read instructions and apply through the same website and no hard copy of the application form is required at the Mission. Last date to apply is 08 February 2019.

Participating students must be between 18 to 30 years of age to avail of the benefit of this scholarship. They should have sufficient proficiency in English, must be serious at studies, with no health alignment and must submit genuine academic documents. An English Language Proficiency Test will be conducted at a dated that will be communicated via email to only candidates who uploaded the required documentations on the ICCR A2A portal.
