15th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) 2019
As you all are aware, the 15thPravasiBharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention will be held in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh from 21-23 January 2019.
On this occasion, Govt. of India has decided to confer PravasiBharatiyaSamman Awards (PBSA) to individual PIOs/NRIs and to Organizations/Institutions run by PIOs/NRIs. The individual / organization should have made significant contribution in the field of better understanding of India, support to India’s causes and concerns in a tangible way, building closer links between India, the overseas Indian community and their country of residence, social and humanitarian causes in India or abroad, welfare of the local Indian community and philanthropic and charitable work.
Please note that a self-nomination system has been also been introduced in for applying for PravasiBharatiyaSamman Awards. This means nominations do not necessarily have to be routed through the High Commission. Such nominations should be sent directly to the Ministry through email: pbsawardmea.gov.in along with the enclosed Form dully filled in.
Please attach the following:
1. Bio-profile in English (300 words) in case of individual
2. Brief write-up in English (300 words) in case of Organization/Institution
3. Recent passport size colour photograph in case of individual
4. Emblem/Logo in case of Organization/Institution in JPEG format
5. Dully filled in Form
Note
1. The Certificate is to be signed by Head of Indian Diplomatic Mission/Posts abroad for nominations being made by him/her from the country of accreditation/concurrent accreditation or the persons / organizations forwarding nominations.
2. Citation and bio-date/CV of the nominee may be sent as an attachment to this nomination Form.
3. Electronic form of the passport size photograph of the nominee (in case of individual) may be sent with the nomination Form.
4. Electronic format of the Logo / Emblem (in case of Association/Org/ Institution) may be sent with the nomination Form.
5. The nominations along with a passport size photograph may be sent by Email on pbsaward
mea.gov.in followed by a hard copy by 15 May 2018.
6. Incomplete nomination Form will not be accepted.
