e-Vidyabharati and e-Aarogyabharati [e-VBAB] Project.

The Pan-Africa E-network is among the finest examples of India’s contribution to the capacity enhancement of Africa. India, in a joint initiative with the African Union, has launched the Pan-African e-network project which seeks to provide tele-education, telemedicine, e-commerce, e-governance, infotainment, resource-mapping and meteorological services to the citizens of African nations.

Under this project, tele-education centres have been set up at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda; Kigali Institute of Education in Kigali, Rwanda and University of Burundi in Bujumbura, Burundi and tele-medicine centres have been set up at Mulago Hospital in Kampala, Uganda; King Faisal Hospital in Kigali, Rwanda and King Faisal Khaled Hospital in Bujumbura, Burundi
