ADVISORY ON SPECIAL CHARTERED FLIGHTS FOR EVACUATION OF STRANDED INDIAN NATIONALS

ADVISORY ON SPECIAL CHARTERED FLIGHTS FOR EVACUATION OF STRANDED INDIAN NATIONALS

Indian Association Uganda has tied up with Fly Dubai Airlines to organize two Chartered Flights from Kampala to Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram for the stranded Indian nationals.

The High Commission supports this proposal and is obtaining necessary permissions from Govt. of Uganda and India. All other matters like coordinating with Fly Dubai for chartering the aircrafts, issue of air-tickets etc. are being taken care by the Indian Association. The Chartered flights will make a one hour stop over at Dubai airport for refueling, but no de-boarding or boarding is permitted at Dubai.

The tentative flight schedules are given below (subject to final approvals and capacity utilization):

16 July, 2020 Entebbe-Dubai- Mumbai FZ 8736/FZ 8003

Arr. Mumbai at 0800hrs[on 17 July 2020]

18 July, 2020 Entebbe-Dubai- Thiruvananthapuram FZ 8956/FZ 8441

Arr.TRV at 0730hrs[on 19 July 2020]

Indian Association has informed that air-ticket costs US $ 850/- for Mumbai and US$ 890/- for Thiruvananthapuram. The procedure for obtaining air-tickets is given below:

Only those stranded Indian nationals, who are registered with the High Commission of India are eligible to travel.

Air-tickets will be issued in the following manner:

Dates	Priority category
11, 12 & 13 July 0900-1500 hrs.	Tourist / visitors’ visa, Migrant workers, Medical, Pregnant ladies/Elderly, Students, Death in family,Other/long-term visa holders

All passengers are required to sign the Undertaking Form for Mandatory Quarantine [to be handed over at the time of obtaining air-ticket] and Self Reporting Form to be submitted at the time of dis-embarkation at destination airport.
