Consular Services

Online Miscellaneous Services 

Online Consular Services are being started w.e f. 1.04.2021 (Thursday). The URL for applying online is indianconsularservices.mea.gov.in External website that opens in a new window   All the applicants are requested to apply online for the following services:

  • Attestation of Affidavits
  • Attestation of Commercial documents
  • Power of Attorney
  • Attestation of Educational, and other Indian documents
  • Attestation of foreign documents
  • Birth certificate -Self (as per passport)
  • Duplicate renunciation Certificate
  • Marriage Certificate
  • Life certificate
  • Death Certificate

 

While applying for specific service, the specific list of required documents (to be uploaded) is also provided with each service.

Once all the documents are scrutinized and approved by the High Commission of India, the applicant is required to come to the Consular Section of High Commission of India, Kampala with application form and original papers/documents on any working day between 0930 hrs. to 1130 hrs. to deposit the required fees.

2.      Application for the re-issue of International Driving Permit for Indian Nationals.

a)      High Commission of India, Kampala, in cooperation with Ministry of Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Government of India will facilitate of International Driving Permit (IDP) to Indian Nationals with effect from 15.02.2021. To avail this service the applicant may visit the High Commission, Kampala in person to submit the Miscellaneous Consular Service form, requisite consular service fee and relevant documents as given below: -

(i) Complete and signed application form for Misc. Consular Service. 

(ii)  Original and copy of Current/Expired International Driving Permit (IDP) issued by Government of India. 

(iii) Original and copy of Indian Passport 

(iv) Fees of UGX 45,000/-  

(v) One passport size photograph pasted on the application form

b)      A receipt will be issued after verification which may be used to apply for re-issue of IDP through the portal www.parivahan.gov.in External website that opens in a new window . The applicant shall upload the documents, including receipt copy issued by High Commission of India, Kampala.  On receipt of application through the portal, the licencing authority, on verification the documents, shall issue the IDP and shall courier it directly to the address of the applicant.
